St. Nimatullah Al-Hardini

St. Nimatullah Kassab Al-Hardini (1808–1858) was a Maronite monk of the Lebanese Maronite Order, known for his deep devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and his role as the spiritual mentor of St. Charbel Makhlouf.

Born Youssef Kassab in the village of Hardine in northern Lebanon, he entered the monastery at age 20 and dedicated his life to prayer, teaching, and the formation of young monks. He was known for his gentleness, humility, and devotion to the Eucharist.

He was canonized by Pope Benedict XVI on May 16, 2004. His feast day is celebrated on December 14.
